The logic of commitment is inescapable …

“The logic of commitment is inescapable. Think again of what God Incarnate did on the cross.
He died as a Substitute for you and for me.
He put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
God the Father placed our sins upon His divine Son and He paid the penalty.
He shed His blood to buy us back from the sin market.
It is impossible to overemphasize the fact that it was God Incarnate who died there for us so that we might spend eternity with Him in heaven.

The death of our Creator on Calvary is unique. Nothing like it ever happened before, or ever will be repeated. That He would be willing to die for sinful creatures strains the imagination. It is too daring an idea for human beings to invent, too awesome for the human mind to take in. It was love beyond measure, grace beyond parallel, sacrifice without limit.”
